Bling bling is a simple customisation. You just need to over-accessorize your outfit. A ton of jewels, large accessories, spangles and glitter, and it’s done. It is the bling bling attitude!
In the USA it is a phenomenon in society resulting from the colourful style of rappers.
Bling bling is derived from hip hop of the 90’s. How does this translate for us in Europe? With regard to the accessories, it means overloading, for example, a bag with disproportionate and flashy objects. Jewels or shiny objects preferably and making a rattling noise with each movement. It is excess and ostentation in an unclassifiable fashion style.
